This lecture introduces the different architectures of recently emerged 48V mild hybrid vehicle systems in the automotive market, consisting of combined electric motor/generator and engine propulsion systems with electric boosted turbocharger and electric heated catalyst. Fundamental methodology for modeling, control and energy management of the 48V mild hybrid system are progressively discussed in the lecture.
