 Welcome to the September 2018 issue of VTS Mobile World – your IEEE Vehicular Technology Society newsletter. In this issue, the Society President’s message describes the importance of IEEE Chapters, for which VTS sponsor 56 worldwide. Then, we introduce the new Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine, Javier Gozálvez, who gives a status report for the Magazine and explains his visions in this new role.
Other articles include a report from one of our active European VTS chapters, the Sweden Chapter; a brief on the EMR'18 Summer School in Hanoi; and an introduction to our exciting VTC2019-Spring, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This issue of VTS Mobile World also includes our regular informative technical reports on connected vehicles, mobile radio, and transportation systems—the three major activities of the Society, as well as news on VTS Resource Center.
