Making the Most of VTS: New Full Open Access Journal in Vehicular Technology
Alexander M. Wyglinski, President

One of the many services VTS provides to its members is a collection of high-quality, high-impact, peer-reviewed journal publication venues, designed to disseminate the latest results and findings across the many areas of vehicular technology.

These venues include the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (2018 Impact Factor = 5.339) and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine (2018 Impact Factor = 6.145), both of which contain superb articles written by authors from around the world.

Given the growing interest in full open access publishing, VTS has just launched a new peer reviewed journal publication: IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology. This new VTS publication venue is a full open access journal with a focus on all areas of vehicular technology, including topics such as connected and autonomous vehicles, electric railways, vehicular power systems, and 5G/6G communications.

Starting Fall 2019, the IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology will release its first Call for Papers, and all accepted papers will be made available immediately and free to all, the first papers to appear online starting early 2020.

At the helm of this new full open access journal, we are very honored that Dr. Sumei Sun (Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore) will be serving as its inaugural Editor-in-Chief.

If you are interested in serving on the editorial board, or would like to participate in the review process of submissions to this new journal, or if you would like to know more about the manuscript submission process, please feel free to contact Sumei to find out more.

We are truly excited about the new IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology, and we hope it will serve our community by providing a full open access venue for high quality, high impact, peer reviewed content on the latest research and findings in vehicular technology! The future of publishing is upon us!
