 Welcome to the fourth monthly issue of VTS Mobile World in
2018 – your IEEE Vehicular Technology Society newsletter. In this issue, the
Society President provides an interesting opening on supporting women of the
VTS through resources and activities for professional development and growth.
As we head towards this year’s elections for VTS Board of
Governors, our past President, Javier Gozálvez, explains the nomination process.

This issue of VTS Mobile World includes informative
technical reports on motor vehicles, connected vehicles, mobile radio, and
transportation systems—all major activities of the Society. Associate
Editor-in-Chief Richard Yu has selected a recent article in the IEEE Vehicular
Technology Magazine, on the topic of securing the connected car, and provides
you with a technical summary as well.
