Title: Wireless
Communications in High Speed Trains
Speaker: Cesar Briso Rodriguez, Technical
University of Madrid
Description: Wireless
communications are of great importance for the operation of modern high-speed
trains. Communications are used to send train position information, speed
limitations and movement authorizations, allowing trains to operate at speeds
above 300km / h at very short intervals between trains. To achieve these
performances it is necessary to carefully design the telecommunications network
so that it has a high reliability and quality of service. This video describes
the main characteristics of these networks and their design process, using
examples, measurements and real results.
