Two separate elections are held each year in VTS. The first involves the entire membership and elects 5 of the 15 voting members of the Board of Governors of the Society, its administrative committee. All the successful candidates in this year’s election have previously served on the Board in come capacity before. They are
- Javier Gozálvez, from Universidad Miguel
Hernandez de Elche in Spain, serving as VTS President
- Lajos Hanzo, from the University of
Southampton in the United Kingdom, currently an elected Board member
- James Irvine, from the University of
Strathclyde in Glasgow, also from the United Kingdom, serving as VTS Secretary
- Alexander Wyglinski, from Worcester Polytechnic
Institute in the United States, serving as VTS Executive Vice President
- Weihua Zhuang, from the University of
Waterloo in Canada, serving as VTS VP—Mobile Radio
Voting board members are elected in
rotation, and serve for three years. The
class of 2017 will serve as voting members for 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The second election took place at the Board
of Governor’s meeting at VTC2017-Fall in Toronto and was for the executive
officers for 2018. The successful
