The program will also feature conference-long
industrial exhibitions and demonstrations. Moreover, a workshop associated to
an EU-funded project, devoted to fuel cell buses (GiantLeap project), will be
held in parallel of the conference.
The conference is proud to have the support
from strong companies, ALSTOM and SONCEBOZ, from the “Future Vehicle”
industrial cluster and the MEGEVH French network on hybrid electrical vehicles,
as well as exhibits proposed by DSpace, CRITT M2A, Rhode-Schwarz, OPAL-RT,
Typhoon HIL, Imperix, Elecsys and H2SYS.
A carbon care philosophy… VPPC 2017 will be organized in a carbon care
philosophy. Indeed, the CO2 emissions associated with the travel of
attendees will be compensated by funding carbon reduction projects, locally or
at an international level.
Venue… VPPC 2017 will be held at Atria
Novotel Congress Center in Belfort, France. Belfort is a beautiful city in
northeastern France in the Burgundy – Franche-Comte region, situated between
Lyon and Strasbourg. It is located on the Savoureuse river, on the historical
and strategically important natural route between the Rhine and the Rhône,
close to the Vosges mountains.
Belfort is the hometown of Alstom company where
the first TGVs (High Speed Trains) were produced, as well as being the GE
Energy European headquarter and a center of excellence for the manufacturing of
gas turbines. Moreover, hometown of PSA (Peugeot) company is no more than 15km
from Belfort. Technical tours will be organized to discover ALSTOM and PSA
facilities, during VPPC 2017 Conference.
