IEEE VTS has three groups convening in one location this fall and Chicago is the chosen destination. The 2018 IEEE 88th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2018-Fall), IEEE VPPC 2018 and the IEEE Connected and Automated Vehicles Symposium will be held at the Hilton Chicago, 27-30 August, in Chicago, IL, USA. Leaders, experts and visionaries from industry, academia, and government will gather to network and exchange ideas in the areas of wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology.
VTC2018-Fall has a powerful lineup of experts and invited speakers beginning with:
- Marty Cooper, Father of the Cell Phone and Communications Visionary
- Julius P. Knapp, Chief of the Office of Engineering and Technology, Federal Communications Commission
- Brian K. Daly, Director of Core Network and Government, Regulatory Standards, AT&T
And a super-panel on Smart Cities with experts from around the world!
IEEE VPPC 2018 will have an exciting program with topics to include

- Power electronics
- Vehicular electronics and intelligent transportation systems
- Control and energy management of transportation systems
The conference team is striving to provide exceptional invited speakers, technical sessions and tutorials that will inspire sharing new ideas and knowledge. The program will also include a special tour of Argonne National Laboratories for eligible participants.
A one-day only event, the IEEE Connected and Automated Vehicles Symposium (CAVS) will be held on 27 August 2018 also at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. This symposium will bring scientists and engineers to discuss advances in theory, applications and new tools in areas such as autonomous driving, V2V communications, artificial intelligence and machine learning, multi-sensor fusion, and much more. You won’t want to miss it.
