The Seattle Chapter of VTS is a joint chapter with IEEE Communications Society. The current officers of this Chapter include:

- Treasurer: Alexander Wang, Ericsson
- Secretary: Prof. Shiny Abraham, Seattle University
The Seattle Chapter covers a geographic region in western Washington State, and serves about 450 members. The majority of the members are from local industry, such as Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon.com, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, and many other local mid- and small-size companies.
The Seattle Chapter also interacts with academia from University of Washington, Seattle University, and other local colleges. The Seattle chapter also receives logistical support from local companies and municipalities.
Each year, the Seattle Chapter organizes many technical seminars, given by local industrial experts in the field, academic researchers; the Chapter also hosts many Distinguished Lectures from both VTS and COMSOC. From time to time, the Seattle Chapter organizes technical workshops with other organizations.
So far in 2017, the Seattle Chapter has organized these activities:

Towards building Internet of Vehicles, Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Fan Bai, the Electrical & Control Systems Lab., Research & Development and Planning, General Motors Corporation
An Overview of the 3GPP/LTE Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), presentation by Dr. Hossam Fattah, Microsoft
