Title: Electrified Vehicle Technologies, A Road Path Towards Zero Emissions
Speaker: Yue-Yun Wang, Technical Fellow at General Motors Company
Description: This video gives an overview of electrified vehicle technologies, including mild hybrid, PHEV, strong hybrid, electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. Among those, more details are discussed around a P2 mild hybrid architecture, and a power split energy management strategy to control gas and electric torques.
Since the pure electric vehicle is very promising towards a zero-emissions future, an anatomy of electric vehicles is studied by using the electrical and thermal systems of General Motors Bolt EV as an example. In the meantime, the propulsion control systems of electric vehicles are reviewed, including their battery management systems and electric motor controls.
