Our New Publication:
IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology

The IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology (OJVT) is a new gold-standard fully open access journal of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society.

OJVT spans the full scope of VTS’ fields of interest, covering theoretical, experimental and operational aspects of electrical and electronics engineering in mobile radio, motor vehicles and land transportation.

Specifically, mobile radio includes all terrestrial mobile services; motor vehicles includes components, systems and motive power for propulsion and auxiliary functions; and land transportation includes components and systems used in both automated and non-automated facets of ground transport technology.

OJVT aims to publish peer-reviewed high-quality papers including cutting-edge studies and breakthroughs especially with regard to mobile radio, motor vehicles and land transportation. The new journal—fully compliant with funder mandates, including Plan S—began accepting submissions in September 2019, and will publish its first articles in early 2020.

A 100% open access journal, all articles are freely available without charge to users or their institutions. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution Licenses (CC-BY) 4.0 license, wherein the author retains copyright. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, as long as proper attribution is given.

Open access is provided through the payment of an article processing charge (APC) paid after acceptance. The APC for this journal is USD $1750 per article, plus applicable local taxes. IEEE members will receive a 5% discount, and IEEE VTS members will receive a 15% discount.

OJVT has no page limits and no overlength page charges. Corresponding authors from low income countries are eligible for waived or reduced APCs. APCs are often financed by an author's institution or the funder supporting their research.

Be among the first authors to publish in OJVT, where your research will benefit from the high visibility and interest generated by the upcoming marketing launch. This new journal will expose your work to millions of readers via the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
