The 2017 IEEE 85th Vehicular Technology Conference will be
held 4–7 June 2017 at the International Convention Centre Sydney, the new
conference center constructed at Darling Harbor, in Sydney, Australia. This
semi-annual flagship conference of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society will
bring together individuals from academia, government, and industry to discuss
and exchange ideals in the fields of wireless, mobile, and vehicular
technology.
VTC2017-Spring will coincide with Vivid Sydney—the world's
largest festival of light, music and ideas. The conference theme, 'Light up
Vehicular Innovation', captures very well the current global trends to boost
the wireless communications and vehicular industry through creative thinking
and technology innovations.
Sydney is a well-known cosmopolitan and multicultural city
located in Australia and the capital of the State of New South Wales. The city
is famous for its multi-cultural environment, iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and
Sydney Opera House, excellent restaurants, beautiful beaches, and nearby world-heritage
sites such as the Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley wine region.
The conference has a very strong and diverse program,
consisting of 430 peer-reviewed high quality papers scheduled into 63 oral
presentation sessions and 6 poster presentation sessions. In addition to these
regular sessions, the program also features three Industry Tracks, 8 workshops,
tutorial sessions, and 6 world-renowned industry and academic keynote speakers.
We are very proud to offer these future-focused Industry
Tracks: 5G and Wireless, Smart Transport and Logistics, and IoT/Smart Cities.
Each track will run for one day of the conference, and will feature eminent
speakers from industry and government agencies around the world.
The conference has very high quality patrons: NSW
Government, Huawei Technologies, National Instruments Australia and IEEE Green
ICT. We will also offer an exciting social program to introduce the best that
Sydney has to offer.
