The 2015 Joint Rail Conference (JRC) was held in San Jose, California, 24–26 March 2015. JRC is the major, multidisciplinary North American railroad conference encompassing all aspects of rail transportation and engineering research, and the electrical tracks are sponsored by the IEEE VTS Land Transportation Division (LTD). There were over 200 attendees from Brazil, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United States. Two subcommittees of the Rail Transportation Standards Committee of the IEEE VTS also held meetings on the campus of San Jose State University in conjunction with the 2015 JRC during the week.
The 2016 Joint Rail Conference will be held at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina from 12-15 April 2016. Abstracts are solicited in the following areas:

Abstracts, which must be in English and less than 400 words, may be submitted at http://go.asme.org/JRC by 15 September 2015. Conference papers will be peer-reviewed and published in the proceedings.
