On 19 April 2025, Panimalar Engineering College, in association with the VTS Student Branch Chapter at Panimalar Engineering College-Chennai, organized an engaging and beginner-friendly Google Meet session titled “GitHub Launchpad – Zero to Repo.”
This session aimed to demystify the basics of Git and GitHub, and empower students to take their first step into version control and collaborative development.
The consulting expert for the event was Mr. Harshavardhan Bajoria, Associate Product Manager at Unstop, GitHub Campus Expert, and 7x Microsoft Certified. He shared practical insights on using Git, understanding repositories, commits, branches, and making pull requests—essential skills for any aspiring developer.
The event was coordinated by Mr. M. Arun, AP/ECE, under the guidance of Dr. S. Rajkumar, HOD/ECE, and successfully managed by student coordinators Subhaharini P, Poovarsan P, Madhumitha S, and Aishwarya V.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation and concluded with an interactive Q&A, leaving attendees more confident and equipped to contribute to open-source projects.
