 Welcome to the August 2023 issue of VTS Mobile World – your IEEE Vehicular Technology Society newsletter.
Before our typical issue overview: on behalf of myself and VTS, I’d like to convey our congratulations to the IEEE Open Journal on Vehicular Technology (IEEE OJVT) on receiving its first Clarivate Journal Impact Factor (JIF), and of its excellent inaugural rating of 6.4!
The IEEE OJVT editorial team, lead by Editor-in-Chief Sumei Sun, has worked tirelessly to attain this high standard in publishing since the journal’s launch in 2020. We are very proud of their achievement, and look forward to this publication’s bright future in the new world of open access in research. Along with excerpts from two June 2023 IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine columns, this edition of VTS Mobile World invites submissions to the new IEEE VTS Tales of Tomorrow Storytelling Competition, and nominations for this year’s VTS-sponsored fellowships. Further valuable perspectives are featured from three papers recently published in the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and the IEEE OJVT.
