Transport for London announced the opening of the Elizabeth line on Tuesday, 24 May 2022.
The Elizabeth line will transform travel across London and the Southeast by dramatically improving transport links, cutting journey times, providing additional capacity, and transforming accessibility with spacious new stations and walk-through trains.

Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the Earl of Wessex, visited the Paddington Elizabeth line station on Tuesday, 17 May 2022 to mark the completion of the transformational new railway ahead of its opening to passengers.
