IEEE Vehicular Technology Society has two graduate student fellowships. We are currently soliciting nominations for the awards. If you believe you are a good fit for one of the awards, please consider applying.
The Daniel E. Noble Fellowship Award promotes graduate-level study in vehicular technology. This award is funded partially by an endowment from Motorola, Inc. and partially by IEEE VTS, and is administered by the IEEE Foundation.
The IEEE Transportation Electronics Fellowship promotes graduate-level study in transportation electronics technology and it is funded by IEEE Vehicular Technology Society from a 1988 endowment by the Convergence Conference, and is administered by the IEEE Foundation.
Eligibility
Candidate must be an IEEE student member and a full-time graduate student pursuing a degree within the VTS fields of interest.
Award Prize
Each recipient will receive a plaque and USD 5,000.
Selection Process
Please email the full nomination set to VTS Fellowship & Scholarship Committee Chair Qingyang Song before the deadline. The nomination should be a single PDF file containing:
- A completed application
- A curriculum vitae with all necessary information, including the applicant’s name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone, fax number, email address, education and work experience, academic publications and activities, awards and recognitions, etc.
- Two recommendation letters (One from the applicant's supervisor)
Basis for Judging
- For the Daniel E. Noble Fellowship: Contribution to the profession of electrical engineering in mobile radio communications, with preference for public safety communications.
- For the IEEE Transportation Electronics Fellowship: Academic performance as an undergraduate; collegiate activities and professional accomplishments; relation of applicant’s interest to Transportation Electronics.

Award ceremony will be held during IEEE VTC2021-Fall, which is a virtual event. |
