Message from the EiC |
Welcome to the October 2020 issue of VTS Mobile World – your IEEE Vehicular Technology Society newsletter. I hope you are doing well and keeping safe.
In this issue, Society President Abbas Jamalipour gives a message about making joint society membership easier. Also included is a post-conference review of the 2020 IEEE 4th Electric Vehicles International Symposium (IEEE EVIS-2020).
And recently published papers from the IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology and the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology are also included.
As always, I am always available to hear your feedback; just send me a note at Richard.Yu@ieee.org. Read More... |

6G: Connecting Everything by 1000 Times Price Reduction |
Shunqing Zhang, Chenlu Xiang, and Shugong Xu |
Editor-in-Chief Sumei Sun invites all to peruse the following IEEE OJVT article.
Although the conventional approach indicates that 6G vision and requirements can be figured out by simply multiplying a certain amount of magnitude on top of the previous generations, we argue in this article that 1000 times price reduction from the customer's view point is the key to success. Cellular V2X Networks |
Rojin Aslani, Ebrahim Saberinia, and Mehdi Rasti |
In this paper, we propose a system model for cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) networks mode-3, with two user groups: cellular users and vehicular users. Cellular users communicate with each other through the base station (BS). Vehicular users communicate through direct vehicular links while sharing the spectrum of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system with cellular users. Read More... |
