 Happy New Year 2018! I trust you have had a great holiday and festive season and ready for a great year in 2018.
Welcome to the first issue of VTS Mobile World in 2018—your IEEE Vehicular Technology Society newsletter.

This issue of VTS Mobile World include informative technical reports on motor vehicles, connected vehicles, mobile radio, and transportation systems—all major activities of the Society. Associate Editor-in-Chief Richard Yu has selected a good article published recently in IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine and provides you with a technical summary, in place of the usual Connected Vehicles column.
