This year, for the first time in its history, the IEEE Vehicular
Technology Conference will visit mainland China: VTC2016-Spring will be held
from 15—18 May 2016 in Nanjing. To celebrate this milestone, several VTS events
will be carried out in different Chinese cities during the month of May.
These events will focus both on current VTS members and on
potential members, including Young Professionals; it will be an opportunity for
them to hear from Society leaders, and learn more about IEEE, VTS, and its
Connected Vehicles Initiative. Each event will feature a combination of
technical seminars, as well as practical tutorials on how to publish successfully
in IEEE and VTS publications.
At the time of writing, dates are confirmed in Nanjing (16,
18, 19 and 20 May), Beijing (19 and 20 May) and Harbin (20 May), and
preparations are underway for a Shanghai event!

After this initial
series, similar events will be held throughout the year at other locations around
the world, including Hangzhou at the 2016 Vehicle Power and Propulsion
conference (VPPC). If you are interested in hosting an event in your local
section, contact the VTS VP—Membership, Fabrice Labeau.
