IEEE VTS Board of Governors Executive Vice President, Tracy L.
Fulghum, has served as an elected VTS board member since 2004, and served as
Secretary from 2003 to 2009. A member of VTS and IEEE for 18 years and 24
years, respectively, he is an active participant in Vehicular Technology
Conferences as session chair, reviewer, and author. From 1988 to 1994, he was
with Motorola, Inc., working in land mobile radio research and development.
Between 1997 and 2010, he was with the Research Department of Ericsson Inc., in
Research Triangle Park, NC. Tracy currently works for Northrop Grumman
Information Systems in Morrisville, NC.
Tracy’s interests are mobile radio systems and signal processing
for mobile communications, including equalization, array processing, and
interference cancellation. He received his BSEE from North Carolina State
University in 1987, his MSEE from the University of Florida in 1993, and his
Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in 1998. Tracy is an inventor on 27
patents and a number of pending patents, is an author on 17 conference and
journal publications, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of
Florida.
